View Full Version : high idle... tried al adjusments

just like the title says... i recently change my map and TPS because my otehr tps was going eratic... and i had a nother map sensor.. so w.e but.... now my car has aconstant 1500 rpm idle...

i adjusted the TPS... i adjusted the idler screw... i adjusted the Distributer... i even cehck that the throttle body was close all the way... and it is... how the hell do i make it go lower.? 94 ex... d16a with z6 head. stock everything cept short ram... just had the head milled.... help would be appreciated.

did you calibrate the tps? you said you adjusted it but i wasnt sure what you ment by it.

wel on my tps... it has a little bit of movement... kinda like u can take yur dizzy and turn it a little... well my tps does that... and i tried all the adjustmnets... but calibrate... how i do taht?

wel on my tps... it has a little bit of movement... kinda like u can take yur dizzy and turn it a little... well my tps does that... and i tried all the adjustmnets... but calibrate... how i do taht?

1. voltmeter

2. find the connector to the tps, and strip just a bit the positive / negative wires of that connector

2. calibrate the tps to 4.7 volts (5v)
