I'm wondering why there aren't any programs for the OBD-II ecu, or am I totally missing those? All the programs I seem to be able to find are for OBD-I, and on chance OBD-0.

The chip in an OBD2 ecu (as far as honda) are ROM only, therefore an entirely new chip must be used to program the ECU. ON topof this, the chip that are used for Honda ecus are expensize and hard to find.

ah, so OBD1's chips aren't ROM only, which makes them much easier to use and modify?

No, I believe OBD1's are PROM, which are programmable read only
