Wider tires???

whats up D-fam?? I was just wondering a few things.... easy question, but I wanted to hear a few opinons about it..... how im gonna be rebuilding my block this winter/spring... I aint gonna go into detail but its gonna be sweet.... goals are around 250whp with 220lbs of torque give or take... anways would getting wider tires in front help with traction?? On my drag dr-16's I currently have 205-45-16 and they are ok.... sticky Nexen 3000's which are amazing tires by the way.... but if I got like a 225 would that help a little?? I also plan on getting motor mount inserts while the block is out and traction bars.... its gonna be a beast!! :) so what ya think?

225 MIGHT rub... im running 215-40 16's and im fine... i think 215 45 would fit fine too

215 40 16 Hoosiers on a 45offset 16*6.5" rim work on my 94 Coupe.
205 45 16 AVS ES 100 also work.

225 45 15 hoosiers are said to be ok also but i'm not 100% sure that you don't need to roll the fenders a bit...
