when i start the car for the first time the car idles kind of high around 2grand..then revs itself like up and down 5 or 6 times then its fine...i just dropped a d15b in there the car runs fine after this just wondering what could cause this.

too much fuel... a minor vacuum leak... timing is off... improper valve adjustment... air in your coolent.

it could be any one of those though. First start with the easy stuff, timing and air in coolent. Then look for a vacuum leak. Finally adjust your valves.
