remember to take out the radiator and dont disconect the ac first cause its messy and second annoying to refill and same for powersteering...everything should plug in fine but dont forget about the pin on the tranny for the shift linkage thats a bitch to do put that on first before putting the motor in if you are using an engine left that is to get it high enough in the air

p08 will work if you can get your hands on it cause ihave a d16z6 block with d15z1 head and im running it with a p28 with no problems

yes the p08 would work, but I think finding the p28 is an easier task...thats what I have running my zc vtec and it works great...

as far as the swap goes , just unplug,unbolt,pull out , drop in,re-plug,re-bolt and your golden....I would highly advise that you replace the water pump and timing belt/tensioner while you have it accessable...

it should not be that hard. if you do not have any air tool, it going to be a bitch to get some of those bolts/nut off. do not rush your self.

if you got a lift. drop it all out the bottom. its so much easier that way. i also have a lift in my garage. use a p28 if you cant get your p08. it will work fine. who needs the 3 stage anyways?

you can run your d15b on the p28 for a while. the p28 and the p08 maps aren't THAT different. but if you wanted to be safe you could set base timing to 14 with a dialback timing gun.

i have a chipped p06 and a chip burner, I just burned a p08 map and it works prety swell.

swaps=cake...but beware the bitchpin

why does everyone fear this thing? worst case scenario take the one piece of linkage off with it, big whoop.

Its attattched to the trans via the pin....isnt it?

lemon_juice

drop the motor/trans with the linkage connected still if its a problem, and remove it from the shifter location. then you can have better leverage when u take out the bitch pin and re-install. word of advise;go buy another bitch pin from honda, and dont be cheap by simply putting a bolt in place of it. shifter may be sloppy(mines was just as loose as nuetral was).

I found the "bitch pin" to be simple. I just tapped it out with a hammer and bolt that fit well, and likewise taped it in once my tranny was back in..... It is nice and tight and took no time.... Thanks to lemon juice I actually figured out what the bitch pin was....I'm a noob.
