Im in the middle of doing a y8 IM swap on my y7. I got eveything i need pretty much but im wondering if i need to use a IM brace to support it. I heard that some people don't. Is that bad though, will it not have enough support if i don't use one, or will this one out of a 92-95 ex work? any help appreciated.

This is the brace i found on ebay and im wondering if i should buy it bc the y8 brace at the dealer is $90!..or does anyone have a y8 brace they would wanna sell me...i cant buy yet on here but my brother can. Thanks.

I doubt that the 92-95 will fit, but someone on here will know for sure.

You can run with out it though. I beleive that the JRSCs don't use a brace and they're much heavier.

That being said, I put one on my Y8 IM swap cause I found one for $10 and for that money I'd rather play it safe.

You don't need the brace. Save the money for something better like beer. Beside, that brace will only bring you headache in the future.

That brace looks the same as the one i put on mine...if you can get it cheap I say get it...you'll run into problems later..
