from last time - my clutch pedal still doesn't come out by itself when i do the bleeding/pumpingpedal process. it seems there grime in the system. the liquid is dark/cloudy. last time i cleaned out "alot" of grease/grime/whatever from the master cylinder - i think theres some in the line as well. because when i bleed it, it's always cloudy dark grey.

question.

can i disconnect the lines completely - clean them out... and put them back on? and refill it? i.e. take all the lines apart - from master cylinder ---> slave cylinder... clean them out. and put it back together - and suck new fluid back in from the slave? ...help... thanks.

Drain the system entirely and fill the resiovior with fresh fluid. Leave the bleeder screw open so it gravity bleeds and clears out the old fluid. Repeat untill you only get clean fluid out. If you have a power bleeder use that to speed the process along. It's the same thing you do to change your break fluid.

If you get vaccum bleeder/resivor.... just suck it all thru the system from the master cylinder..... then drive the car for about 100 city miles, and flush the same way again.... it should get clean quick... that's what I do! It's easier than getting bubbles from the line out by far.

i think he's saying his clutch is so bad, he has to pull it off of the floor..

Disconnect the lines from the slave cylinder and master cylinder only. Use compressed air and blow the lines clean, easy no fitting needed. Just put the air blower on the end of the master cylinder line and press to blow all the lines clear. But watch out for fluid coming out of the other side!!

If you pedal isn't coming back up... check out the pivots under the dash....

my fluid was dirty as shit, but it still came up on it's own...

your master cylinder could be on it's last leg.... If everything under the dash is ok and lubed up, the it must be the master cylinder.... how far do you have to push the clutch to get it to disengage? you should only have to push the clutch (if properly adjusted) 1/4->1/2 way down to gt it to disengage. If you have to push it farther... there is a piossability the cylinder's cup seals are toast.. you would need a new M.C.

never suck fluid backwards.... it's an oxymoron there =P Just bleed it from the slave side till the fluid is clean... it will do the job.... cause it's easier to just kee punping through then wondering later if all the bubbles are out.
