Hey guys im new to the site and like to get to know more about my d series and what i can do to it. I just purchased a 1998 honda civic lx with astock
d16y7 non vtec, i know the d16y8's have vtec and was wondering with a simple conversion of replacing my y7 head with a y8 head will it give me vtec???

Just get the EX ECU, or if you want to make it programable get a OBD-1 ECU and conversion harness and chip it.

search mini me... it isnt a dirct bolt in affair and you need mroe than just a head... just buy a phatty delta cam and have mroe whp than the head swap gives you for cheaper
