for some reason i keep on having a small exhaust leak. i have the megan 4-2-1 two piece header and i recently had a new cat welded on. i checked all the bolts and they're all supper tight and the weld on the cat is really good so i don't know whats goin on.

did this happen before or after the cat was put on?

^^well i had a racing cat on before which broke and was rattling, so i whent to get a new one put on and the exhaust shops here wont work on a "modified" exhaust so i had to put the stock manifold back on.
everything was fine until i put the header back on. it was a bitch to do to. and ever since then i have to keep retightening the bolts on the header and theres still an exhaust leak.
WTF!!!!???????

^^well, kind of my friend's dad told me thats what it was. he works on cars allot.
anyways i thought it was just the gases in the header and shit but it sounds allot better every time i tighten up the bolts some more.
it allso makes a wierd blow-off sound when shifting at WOT.

the one way i know how to check exhaust leaks is to do it when the engine is cold...take some soapy water then when you start the car start spraying where you think the noise is coming from and check for bubbles and stuff or sounds like bubbling...that way you know if its a weak weld or the gasket is bad or if its bad and the blots keep coming loose try using loc-tite solution on the bolts that you can get at any parts store or lock bolts to keep it from loosen if thats your problem
