Have a D16A6 probably came out of a 91, check engine light is on, car runs but not so good, been on for about a week now. I don't know what ecu I have as I have never had the engine light come on before.
Can you tell what ecu by engine that is in my car I am assuming is PM6.

Ok so I jumped my ecu to get the code. Seems like 4 long and 1 quick flash.
so I gues code 41. My ECU is 37820-P06-CO.
What does that mean?

Your useing a EG D15 ecu, not a huge deal. Are you useing the `92-`95 O2 sensor or the `88-`91 part?

I believe it is the 88-91 02 sensor, I had a d16a6 engine swapped after I blew the stock motor that came with my 93 DX hatchback.
Where is the 02 heater circuit anyway? Is that the 02 on the header.

O2 sensor is usually on the header unless you moved it to the exhaust. Checked the service manual for any other fixes, could be a loose connection or a bad O2 sensor, that's it. Check the connection from the O2 sensor to the engine harness and also from the engine harness to the ECU on the shock tower.

Just wondering does a faulty 02 sensor cause rough idle, seems like car is going to staal sometimes, when I come to a stop, noticed after engine light came on.

It can, but it's got to be in really bad shape. Make sure your useing a `92-`95 O2 sensor instead of the `88-`91 sensor. If you want I'll try to get you scans of the troubleshhoting guide for a code 41

Sure thanks. I just talked to my buddy who works at an auto parts store.
He gave me a price for a bosch o2 sensor $62.00 cdn.
Is bosch any good?

I am trying to order the part for my car. Not sure what specs to give him now.
When ordering the part should I say I need a o2 sensor for a 93 civic hatch 1.5 which is my original motor, because that is a different motor, or should I say 91 civic 1.6L hatch wich is what I currently have d16a6, or when I did the motor swap everything from my DX like the o2 sensor might have been used from my original motor.

Is the NTK (O2 Sensor) the honda part?

You want the `93 DX one. I think NTK makes the oem honda ones, but plenty of people have used bosch ones with no problems.

NGK O2 sensor Part#24542 for anyone interested fits 93 DX models.
This is the O2 Sensor honda uses.
