What do you think guys, about crespo valve springs, for my d16y8 head p&p and crower stage 2 ???
Crespo says that I can use my oem retainers.
Plase comments !!!

Why Crespo, and not Crower? I've heard/seen oem retainers cracking with hot cam.

depending on the amount of lift the cam has, and the ramp rate, retainers would highly be recommended especially if you plan ventures to the red zone. You are likely to at least bend them after extended use, so my recommendation would be yes.

just curious about what you have seen as far as stock retainers bending or valves pulling through.i personaly haven't seen it.

also, to the original poster. match the valve spring to the camshaft. there are many factors to valve springs beyond just buying "aftermarket" ones. Instaled height, seat and oppen pressure as well as rate.
