View Full Version : how to wire ecu for wideband/ FTL/ FTS etc..
Going to be running crome.. maybe crome pro, and i'm wondering how I need to wire in the wideband so I can datalog through the ecu, and how to wire in the clutch switch for full throttle launch and full throttle shift

i know for the wideband, you wire in the narrowband output to the o2 wire going into the ecu.
yea, i was just hopign there was a way to do it through whatver the hell ELD is. at least thats how hondata does it..

just run the wideband output to your o2 ecu input. diable o2 in Crome, and click datalog
FTL doesnt require any extra wiring, it is just set at whatever rpm you choose and shuts off at whatever speed you want as well

^^ and that works the same for turboedit?

^^ and that works the same for turboedit?pretty much all the same, although i never messed with FTL in TE.
the datalogging is the same, i know that for sure
hmm ok. still wondering about the clutch switch though for FTS..

^^ after reading a little on pgmfi.org, they say wire it into a switch that is activated via pressing the clutch pedal down, and wire the switch to a ground, and the other wire to pin B7 i do beleive.

do a quick search on pgmfi.org :TU:
looks like i got it here: http://forum.pgmfi.org/viewtopic.php?t=9531&highlight=clutch+switch
thanks guys :D
OK, if i put a toggle between the ECU and the clutch switch, then i can disable FTL effectivly right? because the ECU will think the clutch is out all the time..
That was the big thing i was wondering about. It woudl suck to ahve FTL engaged everytime you come to a stop and not be able to ricer rev :p

you dont use a switch for FTL. the ecu reads what rpm you're at and creates a rev limiter. the ECU creates a rev limit for the FTS feature by knowing when the clutch is depressed. by installing a toggle switch to do so, you can make the ecu think the clutch is either depressed or not.
but a push button FTL would be a sweet idea, i'd wire it to my a/c button... who has a/c these days anyway :)
What im saying is that if you are stopped, and the clutch is out, the the ecu will ALWAYS drop the RPM to whatever you have it set to with FTL enbalbed. But if you wire in a switch between the clutch switch and ECU, to prevent the ecu from knowing when the clutch is depressed, then you can effectivly disable FTL, so that you can dump the clutch from redline or whatever else you want to do.
this also disables FTS too though, so you'd either have to hit the switch as soon as you launch to re-enable the clutch switch, or figure out another way to do this :p
