really i dont know if its the fuel pump or if it could be a filter..i will be dreing and my car will like kinda bounce sorta wont rev up fast i dont really know how to explain it but my friend whos master machinic kinda guy said fuel pump was going out..and i just wanted to no maybe if it was a filter..and where is a fuel pump located on a 91 crx si and how to intall it.

what engine ? faul pump under the rear seat !
hows the plugs !? and rotorcap ?? check this first

i got a d16a6 crx si you know and i have no backseats there is the carpet and i lift it up and there is like a wire and then it goes down into what i think is my tank..this is what i would think is the pump but i dont know and where is the filter located at and how do i do all this..

Check basic stuff first! I'd check tune up parts to make sure they are in good working order...
Ignition Coil also
If all that checks out hook up a fuel pressure gauge and drive it!
I hate "tech's" that say something is wrong with a car before testing is done!
I've had to fix many "MASTER" Technicians problems before! It's all about testing stuff and knowing what to look for not just throwing a part at it!

That is more than likely the fuel level sensor the pump is in the tank and will need to be dropped to replace!

I don't know about anyone else, but anytime I had a fuel pump go - it goes... it's never started to go, and then died.
I echo the other posts in this thread, check the simple things first.
Additionally, there's a possibility that you got some bad gas. Get some drygas, or Seafoam and put it in a full tank of gas.
It's better to start with a $5.00 fix, than a $90.00 fix.
