Hey guys, how exactly is the cam timing set on a d16a6? theres 3 marks on the camgear, and i know for sure that they are supposed to be level with the valve cover.... on d15's. now the 3rd mark is set at about 7 o clock, and the plastic timing cover on the headside under the camgear has a mark on it, but the 7oclock mark doesnt line up with this mark when i set it so the other 2 are even with the v/c..... so...

my real question is, which marks do i use for a d16a6? the 2 @ 3 and 9 oclock or the one at 7?

my car doesnt like to rev very well past 5500rpms or so... thinking that the cam timing is advanced.

EDIT:: i have it set for the 3 and 9oclock marks now, and the ignition timing was easy to set. does this mean i have it right?

yup use the valvecover, the one at 7 o'clock is a little off.

best way to do it would be with a timing light. stock timing is at 16* BTDC right? so we try it at the 3+9 and see if its at 16* BTDC, if not try the 7 o,clock mark.
