have you looked for ecu codes ?
if you crank the engine, it still should push the fuel through,

its cake.....remove rear seat, and fuel pump cover....disconnect plugs, remove fuel/return line....pull pump out....installation is reverse of removal( i hate when they say that)..........

^what he said just in between the unpluging and removal, start the car and let it run out of gas so when you unplug the return line it doesn't get gas all over you!"remove fuel".

woah woah woah, im new btw hi. but before you do all that check the main relay, its to the left of the hood release latch, feel it its a big black box about 2.5 x 1 inch, if you dont feel it clickin or if you feel it and it feels week (it should be snappy feeling) replace it, or if you feel comfortable with soldering then take it out, open it up and resolder all the joints, if the relay failed (which is a problem with ef's) then it wont allow you to crank the vehicle, this relay will usually fail during temperature changes like front hot to cold or vise versa

it would be odd for a fuel pump to just go out with no warning, but not so odd for the car to just not start cause of the relay not turning on the fuel pump.

would it be easier to bypass the relay and hook up the pump to a switch I can turn on and off

the main relay does more than just the fuel pump, i dont know exactly what it does off the top of my head, but i do know a replacement from honda is like 65 bucks and takeing the top off and resoldering the joints fixed mine. i dont think the fuel pump would cause you car not to crank, and im not sure the main relay would either though it is a possibility cause it does tie into the ignition system but when my relay went out my car would crank but the fuel pump wouldnt turn on so the car wouldnt start.

basically im saying i dont think the fuel pump or the main relay is your problem, but check the main relay first before the actual fuel pump if thats what you think it is

yeah my car cranks but I get no fuel whatsoever so i was thinking to hard wire the fuel pump itself to a switch i can turn on or off and not even mess with the relay

its really not that hard to fix the relay, if you search on it ive seen some how to's with pics but i dont remeber where i saw them

the relay is right behind the hood popper. it is the square grey thing. that is where my wife's was in her crx. and just to let you know you will have to drop the whole fule tank to get to the fuel pump.

yep on an ef you gotta drop the tank to get to the pump...though its not hard at all....get a haynes manual and it goes over it in great detail...

not hard as long as you have someone helping and an empty tank. trust me. always check the fuses and relay first. always start with the small stuff. nothing like buying a $120 dollar fuel pump online and finding out it was only the $40 relay.

yeah I checked those but not the relay yet I did one test where you place a jumper wire to turn on the fuel pump and it doesn't do it oh well I'll guess I'll start replacing stuff until i fix it

if it cranks over, then its probably the fuel pump IMO...

If your using the stock one on your setup thats probably the case.
Mine does almost the same thing, only it still starts...barely!

i'm gonna be using a walbro fuel pump as soon as i have some $...
