I am hoping to turbo my d16y8 over the next few months. Obviously this is going to call for a new clutch at some point and Id rather do it before I boost seeing as how the stock one will never hold. I wanted to know what clutch you guys are running for your ~200whp setups. Im looking to make 180-200whp range so I was wondering what clutch would be best, full face or 6 puck, and what brand. I know it will be sprung just not sure which would be a better setup. This is my daily along with being something i drive 30-60 miles per day. Thanks for the input!

I have the XTD sprung 6 puck in my CRX. I thought it slipped in 3rd but its just tire spin!:TU:

I like my act, grips good, pedal is kinda stiff though. Some people that drive it don't like it, but I love it :TU:

haha, now would this be the same clutch that helped you in all the carnage of the last motor or did you replace it since then?

lol, i decided that since i would have the engine out of the car, i might as well replace the clutch for the new motor, exp since i didnt know how many miles were on the old one, but it looked pretty worn out... maybe next time i boost, the clutch wont slip in 5th gear because of too much power... i keep meaning to put pix of the new engine on here but just havent had time...
(sorry to thread jack)

i actually had an lsd clutch on my integra before i sold it, it wasnt bad, but it could have been better, took us a while to figure out that it hadnt been completely deburred so it wouldnt quite slide onto the flywheel until i whipped out the dremel

im getting this as soon as i get the money. if you piece it all together with the same stuff in the kit, its 1$ cheaper lol.

i just picked up a stg.3 gripforce clutch and 7lb fidanza flywheel. for 310 shipped. 6 spuck sprung hub. rated at 250 lb ft at the wheels.. i like it.. drivablility is fine.. lil modulation of the clutch is needed. gotta ride it a bit to not buck or bog. with the flywheel you gotta get your rev's up because it drops quicker than stock. all in all. i like it.. bites hard. .

i have a pucked clutch. its a clutchmasters 4 puck unsprung clutch with a stage-4 pressure plate. clutch engagement is on\off , zero slipping. which means for 1st gear in the city i have to double clutch it or else it chatters like a mofo.
for 200 hp id reccoment an act street clutch with an extreme pressure plate. engagement whould be like a stock civic with no chatter. and that clutch whould hold your power goals with no problem.

I have the ACT XTSS and it feels great. Never slips and is easy on the foot as a daily driver. The HDSS would also be fine.
