Im looking at getting a bottomend for my winter turbo build up and need to know what the difference is between a y7 and a z6 bottemend, I can get the y7 for 50 bucks, I just need to know if there is really any difference in these two or are they the same? ( rods,pistions)

z6 has a better oiling system. There are differences in the pistons, the rods...not sure.

Im dont really know too much about the y7 bottomend but If I put an z6 head on it would it be just as good? I was thinking of some TTrods and some SRP pistons.

The z6 has a better oil pump, but if you can get a y block for 50 bucks I'd just get that. Sounds like a solid setup so far. :TU:

I thought the Y7 block was a 1.5 and a Z6 is a 1.6.
