The inlet side is the side opposite the adjustment which is where you input your boost signal. The barb perpendicular to that (Pointing to the side) is the outlet barb that you will plug in the hose FROM the wastegate. Its trial and error anyways. Just open it a lot and screw it in slowly from there, only screwing it in slightly. Most of the home made style ones on EBAY are very sensitive so go slow. Then make a pull. Raise or lower as needed. I usually use 3 rd gear to tell. Lean into it and back off it you go over your target, adjust down from there.

Correct me if Im wrong but you cannot lower the boost with a boost controler!?!?(lower than the WG spring)
It is the WG spring that set the minimum boost setting.....

its a knock off turbosmart boost controller.
i had one before but the boost would spike. i didnt like how it would spike up to 14-15psi and go back down to 10-11. i tried hooking it up in different ways but with the same outcome.
be carefull with the hose they give you. it gets weak after a few weeks and the hose will fail!

this is supposed to be an 8 lbs spring its goin to twelvewhat WG? where did you get it? if its new, call the manufacturer and ask them for the one you were supposed to get.
or if its external, just buy a new spring, they usually only run about $12
