Anything is possible and yes you can.Swap out the y7 manifold with a y8 manifold. It will make your life easier when you go to do your charge pipes.

Also research more everything you need is here for you to find and no one can answer questions like that without more information.Power goals?street or track or dd car? budget? diy or kit? stuff like that.

welcome and have fun modding your ride

It is possible and pretty easy to turbo your y7 to answer the firtst ? To answer your 2nd ? it depends on your $ you could go out and buy a complete turbo kit which are more expensive. Or you can go the route of piecing together your own kit Which is a little more foot work finding parts but theres alot of online support best site i could direct you to is www.homemadeturbo.com

so i can swap my intake manifold from a y8? what year civic do i get one of them from?

sorry if i didnt say but im in the uk and it's not that easy getting parts cheap, they are going mad for civic's over here too.

i have seen loads of turbo kits on (ebay.com) from the likes of xspower , are they any good?

If you're going to go with the Jeg's turbo kit then I don't see the point in buying a y8 IM. Because the Jeg's turbo kit already has one.

If you want a super reliable/easier to install setup then just get the Jeg's turbo.

my goal would be boost!!! any kind as long as it's reliable and able to keep up with some decent hp cars, 150hp hopefully... will i be able to achieve this or will i be able to get more?

you'll able to get more. just get larger fuel injectors, tune it, and turn up the boost. a crower turbo cam would really compliment the turbocharger

you can get more then 150hp for sure on stock internals. just make sure that you have some good injectors and fuel pump, convert from obd2 to obd1 and run crome or uber for engine managementand and get it tuned

Hats off to all the guys who are trying to answer you yeyo, but really what you ought to do is take a moment and use the search capability of this forum and perhaps other forums and read through some previous discussions about adding turbo and other related mods.

Here, I'll help you get started:
