Either or, take your pic.

Some will debate on which one will benefit you more. Tourque, or high end HP wise. IMHO, if you notice a difference between the two, its most likely a placebo effect

yeh , atm i have a decat and its something you can definatly tell the difference between having and not having. so really want something to work togethe rwith the decat to gain a little more. just working on my little 1.4i to see what i can get out of it, until march then in goes the b18 :)

i think i remember 4-2-1 gives you more midrange then the 4-1. the 4-1 gives more top end. something like that. i could feel a big difference in my car on the spray when i installed the 4-1 over the stock manifold

Why even waste the money if your ultimate goal is to take it out anyways?

Not criticizing, just questioning

im learning mechanics and needed something to tinker with, and my friend will benefit from the parts when the b18 goes in :)

Gotcha...

No better way to learn than an entire engine swap ;)

Hopefully its not a swap that teaches you what not to do

Yeah i agree people will tell you to go for 4-2-1 or or 4-1 or just tell you either. They do have maybe the same amount of HP increases just maybe you get the hp at slightly different ranges?

decide based on what you want. A bit less low end response at like 1K-3K for max gains at like 5K-redline, or not as much of a gain, but more responsive in the midrange. Decide based on what kind of driving you do. Either way, its not much of a difference on a stock motor.
