as i was pricing out parts for my ride i came across a motor. not your average swap but still a beautiful piece of equipment. i think ive been bitten by the bug , ugly little prick called the b16 bug. gave me the b16b virus which ive priced out and already am asking around for someone to help me drop it in. oh no i am not retireing from the d-series side of the world but the power..... sigh...i have seen and driven many b16's in my day but NEVER a b16b. never even heard of one in this area so...will i be the first? one day:thehump: <--- b16b bug humping me lmao

Can you say no torque? HAHAHA. Youll probably make the same amount of torque with your d series if not more.

I have personally herd that engine rev etc, it is a very clean engine, but it is made to be droped in to wut it was built for, A hatch back, anything more, and that engine will be a dog for Torque, it does have a nice rev limit of 9k i think if not a tad more. Personally save ur money on ur D. That $2000-6000 dollar swap will only get you 180HP AND around 150WHP, A turbo D will be cheaper, more fun, more Torque, and have more HP than that at more than half the Price...u Decide..

There's a reason everybody strokes out the B16B ;) You're better off with an ITR engine or GSR with ITR cams and pistons(compression will be a little higher though).

B16B motors are overrated like ryan89crx said. Just because its not common doesnt mean its the best platform to build up.

how much are you picking it up for?

I like the craftmanship that went into the B16B. Not many manufacturers could pull that one off 10 years ago...

If you like it that much and you have the money to dispose, go for it.

As the French saying goes : "Les goûts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas".
(Taste and colour are things that cannot be discussed)

The B16B is great for one thing: a track car. The rod/stroke ratio is insane, in a good way.

I hope it's cheap.

I agree with this! My bro has this engine in his car and it is quick but not highway fast but he's takin on some fast cars that cant keep up through the corners!

that would be a good sleeper, but something like a B16 head with GSR block, CTR parts, LS crank/rods would be way cheaper.

lol, kinda hard to say, "it's a sleeper" with a huge red valvecover and B16B stamped on the block...

If it were me blowing money on a "B", I'd go for an ls with a decent trans. Buy some crower cams, an intake mani, a nice header, and you're making the same power, and more torque. OmG jDm nOn VtEc PoWeRz!!!

Tuning would be icing on the cake.

it is a pretty nice motor, and does put out some nice number for only being a 1.6L.

Well, it'll be a sleeper in the B-series world. :)
