hey guys im new but i have a 1997 dx hatch back and i am doin an auto to manual n im almost done.I wuld appriciate it if u guys can help me out wit the wiring.People have tld me tat i have to cut to a black and white thick wire n a black n red thick wire,they laso said tat i wuld have to cut a black n blue skinny wire n attach them all.Is this tru if not wat do i have to do to start the car n for my key to come out?.Thnx for your help

all this stuff u guys post is about using an auto harness am i correct?
if so y dont any of you use the right harnes

the modification is to the harness that goes to the auto shifter so you can trick the car into thinking its in park (so it will let you start the car, kinda like the clutch switch). You also need to run two wires for your reverse lights (which is easy). The wiring is simple, no need to complicate things by re-wiring the car with a different harness.


When i ran my reverse wires, i used one of the plugs that is leftover in the harness from the auto trans. The plug matched my reverse sensor and i just found which wire it was inside the car and hooked up those to the old reverse wires from the auto shifter.
