clutch pedal and engaging point

well for some time my clutch pedal is way too high its like 2-3 inches higher than my brake pedal and it releases the clutch towards the top...i have tighted the bolt all the way down on the clutch pedal, and i think the cable is as far adjusted as it can go...any suggestions? do you think a new clutch cable will help? this was the same thing on my old crx that had a new act clutch in it...and i couldnt figure it out either... :?

Briefly I had the same problem. It was strange, though. It disengaged way too soon, and it was very hard to drive the way it was. I pulled over, and adjusted the cable, and it was fine- but since you've already tried that, I'm not really sure what to suggest. I'm sure Mista Bone could help..
