nope, i just ask them over the phone. i never ran one nor do i know the laws to it. can you tell me the steps?

okay...i do it all the time at work at the dealership....YOU CANNONT RUN CREDIT ON ANYONE WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT...YOU WILL GO TO JAIL IF YOU DO. that person has to pay to obatin there credit info.

so basicly, they just run the credit report them self and i just get a copy of it.

yep they could sue you if they wanted to for "STEALING" their info especially cause it requires a social

landlords do it all the time. but, on your application, you should have a page that they sign, stating that they consent to you doing background checks, credit checks, and character references on them. then you can call equifax, and get the info

i hate the whole credit concept. it's bullshit, just like insurance. sure it protects companies and other people but for most of us out there who won't take adavantage of it, if you make a few mistakes here and there in the past, they punish you for 7 years like you are doing it every day.

the only thing i plan to buy on credit will be an engine for the car (so i can have one before they're all gone) and a house. everything else will be paid for with cash or by using a credit card when i have the money then paying the balance in full when the bill comes in (i get points/cash back for every dollar i spend with the card, even if i pay it off the next day).

sorry guys, i've been here at work since 8am and i wont be leaving til at least 830pm so i'm a little tired. my rant is over :p
