i heard that the egs ignition and door locks have a big problem. any Honda key will work in the doors and ignition. anyone know is this rumor is true?

not that i know of. i've heard of people having keys that worked in someone's door, but not the ign, but it wasn't a honda key that they used

I have an EF but my car was broken into twice first time the got away scot free second time the got caught right in front of my house. The doors where locked both times. The guys that got caught admitting to having a type of unviversal key.

i can wiggle my key in any honda and get in. ive been able to start a few. just got to wiggle it. never been able to start a lude tho

yea dude scares the shit out of me cause both times it was broken into it was in front of the house when they got caught and the other it was on the side of the house but they got away with all my gauges my cf hood and about $200 in tools

i suppose a good alarm is just what i suggest i live in a crackhead town so my shit gets fucked with a lot . my car was intentionally hit to see if id leave it there so they could steal the shit

i also heard about the master honda key. i heard they onlee made 8 different key for the egs:sadface: .if this istru a chance of someone having the same key is very high.

well they made more than 8 different keys. all of the keys are slightly different. but most of them are so close to each other, that after a while, they get worn out and it will fit into another car that has a similar key. although, they never turn smoothly. the only car that turns smoothly with my key, is mine.

tru, i have a 98 altima as a dd. i try to copy the key and they say it wont work. welp i got it copy, door lock i have to mess with it for a while but to turn the car on it work good as fucc.

I have 3 Hondas. (95 Accord, 93 Civic Ex, & 95 Civic Dx) They keys only oporate the car they were intended for.

I've had Dodges in the shop that could be started withthe wrong key.
