JDM Engine history

Does anyone know how to search the history of a japanese engine?

I've been searching for a lil over an hour and cannot find a damn thing!

Also where is the serial number located at on a japanese engine?

im not sure about the serials or anything like that. but im under the impression that jdm engines have to be changed pretty frequently. usually why when you buy a jdm engine, its low mileage. sorry if im no help what so ever

Why are you so worried about the condition of the motor? If you have already bought it, just pop the head off and check it out.
