HAHAHA... one guy is out of the country, so the whole company is useless!
I contacted them around May/June about getting a proted head... Never heard from them, so I went with Endyn instead...

I had great luck with speaking with Wil--via email or phone. . .but damn, that's some bad return time on an email. It would have been better not to receive one at all. At least your not left wondering if your $$ will get you parts in 5 months' time!!

In the meantime I went with a stage 2 crower cam and valve train.

wussup fellas,
Exospeed is still around. Some of you may know that we're not this huuuge company with a room full of sales people. I, myself deal with all the sales calls, tech, lengthy discussions with customers, planning engine builds, consultations, etc. I wish it was so easy to give all the information I've learned about D-series, B, K, H, drag, road racing, autox, and everything about this industry in general to other people so I can have more help here at the shop. Unfortunately, everything has to come through me and only me at this time.
Anyways, yes I was out of the country for a few days and out of town before that to help my sister out. When I returned home with my wife and baby in (July), we walked in our condo and it was flooded. The water pipe had busted on the water heater which was located in the middle of our place inside a hallway closet. We walked in and within 30 minutes, we were packed up again to head to a hotel. The place didnt look that bad at first, but little did we know the extent of the damage until the carpet was pulled back and what water did to the walls. To make a long story short, heres some quick notes:
1. Walls soaked and destroyed, Drywall ripped out on many of the walls of the condo.
2. 1 year old carpet is destroyed. It had been too wet to salvage
3. Alot of our furniture was destroyed
4. We had alot of things on the floor that we left such as cell phone, laptop, etc that were also soaked and destroyed
5. Took almost 8 weeks to put everything back together.
6. Final cost $15K, mostly cash due to contractors not taking credit cards.
7. And the part that hurts the most: Insurance didnt cover any of it since most was personal property (carpet and paint considered personal property)
I had to do alot of the work myself throughout the 8 weeks to save money and was away from the daily activities at the shop. I do apologize for lack of communication with the late emails and not being able to keep up with the phones the last few weeks. It was a tough time for my family and we just wanted to get back home after switching around from relatives' and friends' houses the past 8 weeks.
I know it wasnt the best thing to do to neglect some of your guys' calls and emails, but I hope you can understand that I had to put family first in this case.

Well since AKMEE was tossed in... I thought I give a little explanation too. Quotes from my reply to another thread on this forum:
Hi guys, project remix was stolen in May 2006 and thus I kinda stopped paying attention to AKMEE a bit. I was just about to dyno and tune the Type-R profile on remix. Yes Type-S and R = Crower 2 and 3. And our plans was basically just to make an affordable options out there for the D series since these profiles are proven to be the best on the market currently. Then we will develop our own profile down the road. Our engineer's name is Luke Workman aka LiveForPhysics. He was really busy and finally finished school in the past summer. Now that he has a good paying main gig, he will have time to really tinker now. I've mentioned we are going prototype a new intake manifold and finally it should make some progress this winter. In any case, look for updates again.
We do have the killer package deal going on for the valve train kit so, show us your support then maybe we will follow through with the intake manifold. The tooling cost a lot of money and the tooling cost the same for us to cast a D series or a K series manifold. Which one should we do first?!
Bone, stop messing stirring things up. I care and do have a special place in my heart for SOHC VTEC. If you guys want to see cool stuff made, show us some love. I've often get the feeling that I am wasting my time wanting to do parts for D. Prove me wrong.
Like Wil, I too have a thing for D. We are similar in some areas when it comes to D series stuff and car parts stuff. For example, 1. we both have been doing this for a LONG time. 2. We do this on a small scale, and if any of you has run your own business, it is a lot of work. 3. for various reasons things might come up and we get caught up but we have always followed through and never let anyone know. (as far as I know Wil is a good guy).
