Hello all I have a 1990 crx si and a chiped pm6. Im in the middle of putting in a D15b vtec from japan. My question is just before I pulled my old 1.6L it would grind int 2nd and 3rd when I shifted at 8000, is this normal? I did notice when I pulled the tranny from the old motor the clutch was pretty bad, didnt really slip unless I shifted fast or tried to take off at a high rpm about 2500. Should I rebuild the tranny?

why in the world would you ever shift at 8k??

i hope that your a6 was built, because they peak power at about 6500. revving past that is a waste and you will actually be slower that shifting near peak
