Im looking at this 94 si and was thinking of getting a cx instead for the weight and doing a motor swap, How much would one expect to pay for a
d16z6 engine and trans?

all depends on condition and whos takin it out really.............where you located i want an si SOOO bad, be perfect twin for my ex coupe:alky:

i paid 240$ for mine(engine, trans, altinater, ac compressor, and engine harness).. and if you go to a junk yard you can get them for about 500$... im from canada so thats canadian prices but still, they shouldn't be too expensive to get ahold of, then all you really need for the swap is obd0 to obd1 dpfi - mpfi convertion

I paid $250 for a complete set up all the way down to the tranny and bought a back up for another $250 w/tranny,but didnt need the trannys so sold them.

so true, if you find more then one you can pick em up for super cheap... they r considered throw aways so just about anyone doing a b-series swap will be getting rid of it asap! and selling extra parts can sometimes get ur money back... i have a guy coming to look at my tranny off my z6 i baught and hes offering 200$ for it, so if i sell it then i really only paint 40$ for the engine lol

i found a d16z6 outta a 95 si hatch for 200$ motor and trans and ecu..thats a steal hade high miles
