Car wont Start Ques?

ok i just put a rebuilt y7 in my car and just this week my car started to act up. Car will crank but wont start. I thought it might be the dizzy so i got a new one but still car wouldnt start. so i checked all my electrical stuff such as alternator, plug wires, fuses, spark plugs, battery, and everything seems to be working properly. So my question is why is there no fuel coming out of my fuel filter to the fuel rail leading to the injectors? i was thinking it might be the fuel pump or main relay but im not sure so if any of you guys have had any problems like this can u please post what you did to get this issue fixed? ohh and my main relay only clicks when i turn my key to on.

When you turn the key to ON ....Do you hear the fuel Pump????

does your fuel pump prime? and when was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

I would say timing but fuel pump might sound like the issue

i tried to see if i could hear the fuel pump but nothing its stays silent.

never changed the fuel filter since ive owned the car.

then it soudns liek your pump is shot
you need a new one if it isnt priming... also it wont hurt to change the filter too....

Pick one up at advance there like 15 bucks. It also sound like your pump isnt kicking on you would be able to hear it.

U THINK IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE OF THE MAIN RELAY?

if you hear your main relay click then thats not the problem.. from what your saying its your fuel pump
and caps lock is FTL!!!! lol

i did a search and read that the main relay has to click three times is that true?

Was it really hot out when it wouldn't start? My main relay is going and if it's really hot out it won't start until i open all the doors and windows and let it air out for 10 min.s

yes it was very hawt over 110 i think the day it went out and with all windows rolled up. must have been like an oven in there.

So i got a new fuel pump but still not functioning. doesnt prime or anything. What else could it be? Im having a hard time looking for the main relay rz-1059 anyone know where i can get one besides the dealer?

you can find em on ebay for 30 bucs shipped. I know a few people who have bought em on there and it fixed the problem. Apparently it's a pretty common thing to go out on Hondas

i would like to find a place locally like a parts store or something but all i can think of is autozone, pepboys, o rileys, and they dont seem to have it i tried napa and they happen to have it but for 60usd. and thats just to much for me.

You gotta be careful though, remember it's E-ghey, 9.99 sounds like a knock off low quality part that might possibly be worse than the one you have.

Umm if ur talking about relays out of different gen civics the ecu's would be different. If we are talking same gen my guess be auto and manual transmission but don't hold me to those guess' cuz i'm not positive on that

Go to the junk yard and get a relay out of any 96-00 Civic.

I got one for $10.

Problem fixed main relay had went out and now i have gas and spark yay!!!:)
