i have a 97 ex w/ d16y8, jr sc, 10lb pulley (8.5 according to map sensor), odb1 w/ hondata s200, ihe, msd 6a, coil, wires, etc...

i've been thinking about a water injection kit b/c my intake temps get pretty high, pretty quick; esp. since i upped the boost.

would there be any advantage of running water/meth over just water?

james

ps. i'm planning on getting aquamist.

I think that any setup can take advantage of water injection, but you will have to tune for it; remember, water/alky is not a power adder. What it will allow you to do is step in more ignition that you once had to take out b/c of the higher IATs, or just too keep det. at bay.

as far as choosing between alky or water, or both, I think it depends on how crazy you want to get.

If you are looking just to supplement your fuel system, distilled water or a 50/50 mix will work just fine. 15-20% by volume.

If you want to go all out with big boost and big power goals, 100% methanol seems to be the ticket. 25-50% by volume.

each would definately have their pros and cons. I personally just don't like the idea of being completely dependant on alky injection.

This is a little formula you can use to figure out nozzle sizes and what not...

(injector size x # of injectors) x target injector duty x percentage of spray

My set up for example:
(450cc x 4) = 1800cc
1800 x .85= 1530cc
1530 x .20= 306cc ***you would need a 306cc nozzle to supply 20% h20/alky***

Nozzles come in
2gph
3gph
4gph 4x 63= 252cc
5gph 5x 63= 315cc
and so forth.

I run the 5gph nozzle.

hope that helps...
