Okay, I've already searched, but I want some specific help. I'm planning on having my block rebuilt by a company around here, to support 275-300whp. So, here's what I'm planning:

wiseco pistons (.020 overbore)
eagle h-beam rods
acl bearings
arp headstuds
oem headgasket

I'm burning oil, so I'm going to do a compression test first and make sure it's the piston rings (i think that's the culprit). Anyways, I'm going to leave the head stock and have the company take the engine out, rebuild it and put it back in. What I'm wondering is if it's safe for a dd to leave the head stock, and if not what I would need to do to it. I've heard it should be safe, but I'd like some feedback from guys with a setup almost the same as mine. Thanks in advance.
