well i broke down and bought a traction bar. even after i fixed my torn motor mount, the hop was still getting to me. i even had torque position inserts and strut rod bushings
i will be installing Prothane bushings in the upper mounts and then a JKMotorsports traction bar. if this doesnt stop it, then i must have something seriously wrong
Overall i give the bar(looks) about a 7.5 out of 10. the pics on the site made it look a lot prettier, not that looks really matter...
as for packaging, i give it a 1 out of 10. it was basically just bouncing around in the oversized box with no packing whatsoever. just a few chunks of small styrofoam, which did nothing but make a mess as it was pretty much demolished. i guess i was expecting a little better, even though these were a damn good deal.
here is a pic, i should have a review soon. gonna go beat on it as soon as i get my motor back in the car :TU:

ok, so i work on the car tonight. man that was a change, lol.
Overall impressions so far:
Fitment - 6 out of 10  on the driver side, the towhook holes wouldnt line up for shit! i have the driver side on just a few threads and the 2 original crossmember bolts in barely and it just wouldnt line up. i had to use a long punch and stick it in one of the holes and pry the bar over to get the bolts started. i was only able to get 2 in, i fought with it for over 2 hrs  then the rad holes werent spaced correctly, i had to grab my drill and hog out the holes to get the lower tabs to fit...
you can see the missing bolt in the first pic
Ease of installation(1 being easy and 10 being difficult) - 6 out of 10. everything worked like it should, except the few things listed above.
so far it looks pretty damn good. im going to need an alignment, but it looks damn stout :TU:

and finally the Protane inserts. the upper driver side was a bitch!! it wouldnt go in at all. it would hit rubber immediately and stop. so i rigged up a way to get it in with minimal physical effort. went in fine with this. tranny one was easy, i managed to get it in by hand

im about 20 minutes away from getting the bitch to fire up, but im tired as hell. the plan was to get it up and running so i could hit the track tomorrow, but unless i get off work early to finish i dont think its going to happen
i just need to top off the radiator, fill the tranny, and put the wheels on and i can start it. although i want to install my new GE vac mani, so that might take a few mintutes as well...

im going to try and get off early tomorrow. its about 1hr20min drive to the track and it opens at 6. that means i need to be gone by 4:30, which is when i usually get off.
i really need to get that vac mani on so i can get an accurate reading to my Profec. i also want to do a little more tuning before i take off. im really doubting that ill make it

once suspension is ok, wheel hop comes from lack of power, or too much traction.
Stock EG with ES bushing, never a wheel hop issue.

hmm very interested;) where did you get these? i have never seen a mount for the driver side

ive touched on this issue many times with no real answer. i already said i had inserts and strut rod bushings. combine that with Tokico Blues and H&R sports and had tons of wheelhop? where am i going wrong?

if you have motor mount inserts in all your mounts (or whole mounts themselves) and all your suspension pieces are solid and in good condition, i don't see where you would still be getting wheelhop. i'd just hate to see you spend all kinds of money to eliminate wheelhop when it may be something that just needs to be upgraded or replaced.
but then again i'm don't drag my car (lol heck i can't even drive it right now) so you likely know alot more than i do :p

ive looked over the suspension to see if anything was wrong or bad and the only real thing i found was the motor mount. i replaced that and still had issues
the springs are a few years old, but the struts maybe a year at the most. and i probably only have about 10k on them.
maybe i need to look it over again to see if there is another problem...

i admit i'm not well versed when it comes to drag racing and the problems associated with it but the wheel hop sounds like it's coming from play somewhere in your engine mounting or suspension. it might be a good idea to make a list of probable causes and inspect all parts top to bottom. then start knocking them off one by one as you check them over. kind of like i do at work here when we get a major service in. check ball joints, tie rods, bushings, mounts, etc if you haven't already.
trust me man, i'm anal that way too when it comes to clunking noises from the suspension. unless it sounds absolutely solid, it drives me bonkers until i find what part has play in it

ive ...that sound like half your problem there. you should invest in a set of BFGs like me and not have traction issues
course your car will hook like mad with both on there:)

so i took her for a spin tonight. first time driving the damn thing in like 2 months, lol. have a few issues that need to be worked out, one being the TPS on this new LS TB...
i need to figure out how to set this trac bar up, im not sure if i have it right. i just spun the rods until it felt tight, which pulled the wheels forward in the wells. im not sure if thats how its supposed to be. so im going to check around for proper adjustment.
but, a preliminary review...
AWESOME!! did a few rips through the gears and one launch. hitting second felt SOLID! tires instantly spun with no hop and acceleration felt much smoother/faster :TU:
the launch... only revved it to about 3500 with the e-brake on and the clutch pre-loaded. dumped it and let the brake off, spun for a second, gripped, then hit full boost and just lit the tires. felt really smooth, with no hop at all :TU: i can see my 60fts dropping already

I received mines a few weeks ago. Didn't have much of a problem w/ installation went in smoothly. I need a alignment, but other than that mines feels good.
