SOS just as the title says Heres whats going on, before jumping on be like “oh this topic is covered many times” please understand that I did search and an unable to find anything that seems to satisfy me for an answer so….. I want everyone to know what my EXACT problem is with the parameters of my swap.

Car being swapped into 88 Civic HB original engine D15b2 DPFI
Engine swapped in D16Z6 from 93 del Sol Si 81 k miles.

Ok I want to clear up some issues with the engine. I bought this Del sol wrecked, clipped front end, it was fixable but I parted it out. It was a one owner car bought locally and I have every reciept to this damn car even the original window sticker with the same engine serial number as the one stamped on the engine.
I have the benefit of knowing that this engine runs good due knowing its ENTIRE past from the showroom floor to here in my hands. And I know that all the components were in working condition because I ran the engine before tearing down the car, I know it ran and I know it ran well with this ECU this wiring harness and everything else.

So then, Ive swapped the engine and built my own conversion harness’ a total of 4 plugs per http://thezcr.com/html/wiringharnessprep.html. There are 4 connectors that I have built we will call them molex 1 side A and B and molex 2 side A and B These are quick connect connections actually removed from the original del sol chassis. Every connection, Every splice was 2 wires soldered together wrapped with one turn of electrical tape and then heat shrink over that, then they were wrapped again with electrical tape. Overkill? YES I want it that way shit doesn’t need to come loose or ground out. Triple redundancy I try to keep that way …… just like an airplane. Ive built all my connectors per the pinouts given at this particular website (mind you these pinouts are for the mpfi 4th gen civic Si) the only part where I ran into problems is where I had to wire the coolant temperature switch and the back up switch wires, the stock connectors that this particular website refers don’t exist in my DX so I traced down the wires and spliced in at different points, I know that the back up switch works, (reverse light comes on when in reverse) and im pretty sure the coolant temp switch that kicks on the cooling fan is wired correctly too.

Ive taken and made JPG’s of the molex pinouts that are provided by this aforementioned website. That way there is more of a visual representation to whats going on. I might post those on here, maybe not I don’t want to write an entire novel. But if someone needs to see them then I will post them up.

Everything was connected and apparently ready to run, O2 sensor is not wired in yet and tps isn’t adjusted, I broke the stock TPS when I was installing the engine. The throttle body gasket isn’t installed either because its on order…… im not looking for driveability yet just to see that the fundamental systems are functional……. Ill say this again, the tps is hooked up not adjusted and there is no gasket between the throttle body and the intake manifold (both are stock) O2 sensor is not wired in at all either.

When I apply power to the car, there are apparently no problems, key on run everything looks good, there is no fuel pressure. , the main relay clicks, and doesn’t do shit after that I believe its supposed to click again after like 5 seconds……. No spark at all Engine turns over Timing is correct at the crank at the cam and at the distributor (mind you all this shit worked when the engine was in the del sol)

Ive checked my grounds, the engine is grounded to the unibody the ground wires are connected at the thermostat housing, p28 ECU pins A23, A24, A26 and stock dx pin C211 pin5 all have continuity to ground heres how my wiring setup goes, the stock Del sol engine wiring harness was untouched except for the 14 pin connector that would normally go on the driver side of the car, It was moved and re-arranged to to the pass. Side of the car that basically is one of my molex’s the 14 wires from the engine harness were kept to the same connector, re-arranged soldered back together to match the other side that ties into existing chasis wiring and a couple ties to the other ecu molex. There are 2 other big connectors that were untouched that go straight from the p28 to the engine wiring harness and one 4 plug connector that goes to the injectors straight to their ecu connectors and of course there is a 2 wire connector with heavy guage wires (blk/wht) and (blk/yel) that go to the distributor

Has anyone had a problem close to this at all? Again, ive double checked triple checked quadruple checked my connections that the aforementioned website says to make, using the original D16z6 p28 ECU harness the original D16z6 engine harness. Whats going wrong here?
here is the 4 molex (quick connectors that were wired up)
molex 1 side A these wires come from the p28 ecu wiring.

And heres the side b of that molex 1

and for the molex 2 side A: http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-4/1172191/M2SIDEA.JPG
and molex 2 side B:

Ive had a bit to drink tonight so my thoughts should be more clear tomorrow, but this damn d16z6 isnt even worth its weight in moldy left over cheese logs until i get this wiring sorted out hopefully someone had this problem before.
