so i was driving my car the other day at about 6500 rpm in 1st gear, at that time i'm enjoying the sound of the vtec and such and suddently as i shift it to the 2nd gear (at about 7000 rpm) i see the CEL came up. so at first i was like wtf, and worrying what's going on w/ that CEL. but i found out the CEL actually disappear after i restart the car after shutting it down. does anyone has any idea what's going on??
o and as for what engine i'm running, pls check my sig for detail, it's basically a mini me (y7/y8) with obd1 conversion and P28 ecu, everything else is stock.

This actually happened to me a few times before I was tuned, if I would nail it when I was driving (mostly in 3rd gear) after 6500rpm the cel would pop on. The car would still run the same, and I could rev it up with no problem. But now that I got it tuned it is does do it anymore. In case you were wondering I have a 97 ex coupe converted to 0bd1 running crome...

nope i didn't check the code since i don't know how to check it (noob in these stuffs, lol) but vtec is working fine and car runs fine w/out anything strange. it doesn't really bug me but i just wonder what is causing the CEL to come out.
