is it ok to turbocharge a z6 with the stock pistons??? its what 9.4:1??? im looking into makeing a daily driver but i wanna take it to the strip on weekends... im replacing the cam&gear, valves, valve springs and retainers but i kinda dont wanna rip the whole motor down
and would it be a good idea to replace the head studs???
p.s. z6 is swapped into an 88 dx

get some arp head studs and a cometic headgasket...
stock internals are fine until around 200-225 whp..

i would replace the stock head bolts with ARP head studs. I wouldn't spend the money on a cometic head gasket. I have always used OEM and never had a problem. What size turbo do you plan on running? 8 psi tuned would be a nice daily driver. The stock bottom end would hold up fine.

yeah im not looking to put out anything over 220, as it sits it puts out close to 130 whp, and thats with a cold air intake, header, and skunk2 catback
compression in all 4 cylinders are like new, the motor only has 120kms so i figured all that i posted ^^^ an inkate manifold, then turbo and intercooler will put me a lil over 200 hp
