View Full Version : Bottom end build kit?
Well this is not exactly a for sale post so that is why i post it here since it has to do with FI and NA.
Someone posted a while ago about a Bottom end kit for Forced induction that was selling on ebay and im just wondering if you guys might be interested in getting something like that. I am planning on putting a kit together for Boost and NA and was just wondering if you guys are interested. This would be a more complete kit rather than just getting your Vitara pistons through me.
The kit will come with:
boosted applications:
Vitara pistons(with wrist pins and clips)
Hastings or NPR rings
Metal Head Gasket
Main Bearings(Crank bearings)--->KING Bearings
Rod Bearings--> KING Bearings
For NA Applications:
P29(dome) or PM6 Pistons( Nipon pistons)
Hastings or NPR rings
Metal Head Gasket
Main Bearings
Rod Bearings
Moderators if its not in the right place go ahead and move it.. I will make a Sale post in the right section IF there is a good feedback/interest on all this stuff. For now i just want to see if members want it or not.

You should add a set of TT rods to the boost kit.

Yeah i guess i can work something out for those who already have the pistons.
I almost have a price
Well i have a price..
Everything (Pistons[Vitaras or PM6 or P29],rings,wrist pins, Head gasket, Main bearings, rod bearings) will be $240. That includes Shipping and handling and Paypal fee. This price is to the USA only(Hawaii and P.R included).
The only problem i see is that the rod bearings are not listed for the Z6 engine(92-95 civic). I dunno if the 96-00 or 88-91 bearings will fit the Z6.
For the ones that already bought pistons and just need the HG, rod bearings and main bearings i will have a price later.

When using the Suzuki pistons, do you have to modify anything for them to fit?? or will they go in with ease...
When using the Suzuki pistons, do you have to modify anything for them to fit?? or will they go in with ease...
Depends on what rods you use..
D series rods + vitaras = Modification
TT rods + Vitaras = small modification (ask Tunner Toys about it)
Eagle rods + vitaras = Plug and play, perfect fit, no modification
Honestly I would build your bottem end from scratch.

I may be interested if you could include the TT rods with it.
I hardly doubt i can include the TT rods.. I am not a business and i would have to buy the rods in quantities to get a good deal + i'd have to go through the process of getting a re sellers permit (you have to pay for that)just to be able to purchase the rods from the manufacturer.
There are good places out there that sells the rods for a good deal..
You could have a great bottom end for 500 bucks or less

what will these vitara pistons do in a d16a9, i mean what compression numbers should i be looking at?
The d16a9 has a combustion chamber of 42 cc's, stock compression is 9.5:1.

Never mind, figured it out allready.
It would set it down to abot 8.1:1.
What kind of boost could i run with this compression using ron 95?
And when using ron 98 when i feel like flying?

FJT, i'm from the netherlands and i have no paypal account because i have no creditcard.
Would there be some other kind of method to be able to pay you (if i decide on buying this kit) ?

On 93 pump gas you can run like 20 PSIs w/o problems
I ran 18PSI daily on 8.5:1 CR with no signs of detonations.

Sure..you can send me a Money Order(postal MO prefered) or a Western Union transfer or check.

Nevermind, i allready setup a paypal account, and i thought i needed a creditcard :P
oke, next question.
The kit you sell comes with a headgasket right, but i have a zc, that gasket ain't gonna fit (i think).
So i'm gonna need to buy one myself.
What other parts in this kit won't fit the zc?
is it a DOHC ZC or a Sohc ZC
hectorcuper
08-02-2006, 07:11 AM
It's a euro d16a9 dohc.
Then it should be the same as a d16a6
hectorcuper
08-02-2006, 07:57 AM
:) i think you can count me in for a kit then (not 100% sure yet though, more like 89% )

Hector if youre in i will need your address so i can recalculate shipping..since youre not in the USA the price goes up due to shipping.
have you set a date yet for the payment
Well this would be special ordered, so i will have to pre order everything. Im thinking of giving a 2 week period for everyone interested to sign up, then get everyone's payment and order the stuff and then ship it out.
that way i wont have to be doing 2-3 trips a week for parts.
DOHC
SOHC
Won't fit...
hmm i missed that... I didnt knew there were DOHC d16 (xcept for the Dohc ZC but that is labeled as ZC and not d16)
In that case Hector i can just take the Head gasket out of the kit and just re calculate the price..It would be cheaper..That way you can get your own Head gasket.
hectorcuper
08-02-2006, 08:24 AM
Yeah i think i'm in.
So it would be a kit without headgasket send out to this address:
Grindweg 98 (adress)
8485 JD (zip code)
Munnekeburen (city)
Friesland (state)
The netherlands.
well i will do a post on the classified section later this afternoon with all the details for the ppl to sign up.

arch arch arch (that's pirate talk :p )
Hector i got good news.. The Head gasket will fit.. I have a friend with a DOHC ZC turbo and he uses the CRX d16a6 HG.
What do you guys think if i also add a Timing Belt to the kit for a lil bit more?
hectorcuper
08-02-2006, 10:20 AM
only if you also deliver the kit without one, or with a dohc one.
Soulless

I like the kit as is. Depends on how much the belt adds!
it will be $15 more with the belt.
