Hey guys i currently have a 94 civic si hatchback and i want to add the greddy turbo kit onto my d16z6 motor. I wanted to know if anyone has ran into any problems with this kit running on a bone stock motor?

I've used the Greddy kit on 3 of my own personal vehicles, twice on customer cars. All bone stock, all with 0 problems.

I have the one from the 96-00ex with the innercooler. It was pretty much bolt on. The only thing i had to do was on the exhaust manifold i had to run a drill bit through a couple of the holes were the studs go through to make them a tad bigger it wouldnt just go on.

That's odd...I never had that problem...but I always used the 92-95 Civic kit too.

Yeah i thought maybe my studs were bent so i just went ahead and reamed out the holes didnt want to take a chance in breaking a stud off with a hammer.

Since the greddy kit is designed to work with a stock motor you shouldn;t have any issues.

The only problem that I ran into with mine is that the wastegate was not working correctly.

Boostcreap...pretty common when boosting more than the set 5.5 psi

So when i get this kit i shouldnt run past 5.5 psi??? I thought the stock motor was able to run 6-7 psi without any problems? Also, can i run the kit without the intercooler and have it run fine?

You can run 8-9 psi stock with a good tune and be fine. If you are running on the stock greddy blue box and stock injectors, then I would run off of stock wastegate pressure, no more than 7 psi.

You get boost creep due to the tuny wastegate, it's not that big of a deal because it won't creep much with the stock WG.

You can run it without the FMIC on stock boost, but I would suggest getting a FMIC in the near future.
(sidenote: I will be adding FMICs to my online store in both polished and flat black very soon)

Mine's been fine, but like metioned above it has some boost creep, not alot, only around .1-.2 psi. The kit is good to around 14 psi. I'm running mine with stock internals and have had no problems. I'm running 8-8.5 psi on a daily driver.

How much whp do you get off of 8-8.5psi?

what if i upped the injectors but keep the blue box will i still be able to boost higher efficiently? If so, how much would you say i should be able to do safely?

Silly question would the 92-95 kit work on a 96-00 car, Emanage is probably tuned differently but the majority of the kit should be fine right, just wondering is all.

isnt the 92-95 obd1 and the 96 on up was obd2, wouldnt the emanange be wired for the corresponding year?. or does it matter, idk

yeah i would figure that the Emanage would be set-up for ODB1 with the 92-95 kits, but would the acutal hardware bolt right up?

If you change to a larger injector do NOT use the blue box. You can boost a little more than stock on the blue box, but it is preset to run the stock sized injector. Once you replace them you need to either socket your ECU, run Hondata, or at least do an AFC hack.

Yes, I've used the same 92-95 kit (not the actual same kit but the same part#) on my own 00 Civic DX and 96 EX. Both setup on the blue box...the wiring for the box just has slight changes, but worked perfectly fine on them both.
As far as fitment of the pieces, it fit perfect.

you mean chip the ecu or get it tuned by hondata? and how much with the blue box could i run you suppose before it goes?

Correct, chip/socket the ECU or run Hondata ( personally I'd socket the ECU)
I've set the boost @ 8 psi via a TVS HPBC and had no problems (other than minimal creep).

so is it bad to run bigger injectors w/ the greddy emanage untuned? i have the emanage ran into my ecu but im running FMIC, DSM 450s and a Walbro 255 fuel pump at about 8psi..

oops, sorry i missed this one lol. Put down 195.1 at around 8.5 psi
