well i keep seeing how superchargers arent really that great, and a nitrous kit (wet of course for a little more safety) are realitively cheap compared to the 1500+ for the supercharger kit, and its something that can be turned on and off for things like trips and so on, so which should i do, 50 wet shot, or jrsc and hope i can squeeze 50hp out of it?

for dd I'd go SC it's there and convient nitrous will cost you more out of pocket in the long run

not if you compare the extra gas the supercharger will be making you go thorugh...

that's if your on it all the time but then again nitrous will do the same thing

but nitrous you'll use only when racing ;) well almost only, as for the supercharger you would step on it to pass ppl on a daily basis

well... some of the things i'm saying here are obvious, but the way a turbo or supercharger works is by compressing air and pushing it into the engine and then adding the appropriate amount of fuel to make power. a normally aspirated engine doesn't have compressed air fed into it, rather it is fed by atmospheric pressure. if you are using a CAI, it simply introduces colder atmospheric air.
yes, if you go with nitrous, you can unleash more power from a stock engine, but it only works for a quick couple of seconds and it does it by mixing N2O with fuel. with a supercharger, you get instant power because it is belt driven.
unlike superchargers or turbos, the drawbacks with them are heat, but with nitrous, you get pressurized N2O in a bottle as a liquid and as it passes into the engine, it cools down quickly, which is also the reason why when you shoot a paintball and the cartridge becomes empty, then you pop the empty cartridge out, it feels cold when you touch it. it reduces the air temperature in the cylinders, which reduces detonation and improves power, but blowing the engine with nitrous is a high possibility, which is also the reason why most local shops wont install nitrous anymore, even if they sold the kit (at least from what i was told from a local shop here).

Which of them do you have to refill when you use? Nitrous?
SC FTW!
And with a SC you don't ALWAYS have to step on it but if you want to, it's always there without having to push a button.

extremely valid points i like them all, these are the exact same things that go through my head, im leaning more towards sc just because it doesnt need to be refilled, anyone running a sc what kind of mpg are you getting?

You could probably be getting 30+ mpg with a SC, without a lead foot.
You can't get as much power out a supercharger on a Honda.

several people reported higher MPG with the jackson...as long as you keep your foot out of it.

^^
I am getting +30 mpg at 10 psi but about ten less when driving with a lead foot.
Also you will not be pleased with the stock SC kit. its junk like everything else moddified is better.

you wouldn't consider a turbo?its really the best way to add power

i have a turbo in my car and the mpg on that really sucks. with the rising gas prices, i'm spending around $30 a week on gas alone. as long as you aren't running too rich and not getting gas pedal-friendly all the time, then you should be fine.

i have greatly considered turbo, i just dont have time to build another kit like last time, and i found a guy with a sc and a motor for 1500 all together shipped and i was gonna take off the sc and put it on my car and keep the motor for a rainy day, im not sure though i got married this weekend so i gotta see how my finances turn out

i'd go with nitrous IMO, but for SC and motor for 1500 I'd do that... its tempting.
