Everyone on here will tell you to ditch that thing and chip your ECU. Since you have a z6 you are probably running a p28 which is the ecu to chip. But there are also guys on here that have been running them with no problems. Also with an FMU you could only run about 5-6 psi "safely." Check out pgmfi.org, a lot of good info.
As for the VAFC-2....you could do the "Hack." Run some bigger injectors and use the VAFC to control them. But thats bad because it changes the timing to increase the fuel. Or something to that affect not exactly sure. Someone else will chime in I am sure.

If you are stuck on running an FMU then you are going to want a 12:1 fmu if you are running stock injectors, along with a missing link and a walbro 255 fuel pump. Run a 2 step colder plug and retard your timing a little bit.
Just remember though you can get a chipped ecu with a pretty good base map for just a little more than what you would pay for an FMU... The fmu will work though, i have a buddy that has been running 10psi on a 14b with an FMU for well over a year with no problems so far.
