I currently have some 215/40/16 tires on my 1.5 VTi hatch. The problem is that in rough roads the steering wheel is all over the place and don’t even think on braking!!
The ride is also bumpy and i can’t stand it anymore.
I’m a family man now and need a comfortable ride.
I’m moving from 16” to 15” wheels but I haven’t figures out the tire size yet.
Note that my car has final gear ratio of 4.058 and 5th gear is 0.702 giving me around 75mph at 3000rpm.
The tires I use now are a bit lower than the stock ones so lowering the final drive ratio.(Which is what I want).
So I’m between 195/50/15, 195/55/15 or 205/50/15.
Will the 205 cause the same problems as the 215 on the steering wheel?? I really need it as smooth as possible.
Will the 195/50 be too bumpy compared to the 195/55??
