I was just wondering if anyone else is into this hobby racing,or just bashing around the neighborhood.I've been racing seriously for 22 years and I am also a collector of vintage R/C cars and trucks.

I use to be, I had a lengends car and a stadium beetle I use to race. I've gone over to planes now, I'm trying to teach myself how to fly with a 2 channel park flyer, but I don't have a lot of extra time these days to go practice.

I sorta did a couple of years ago for a few months before my local indoor track closed. I bought a HP rs4 (i think) years ago and never did anything but go up and down my street and jump my neighbors driveway. But I found a local track and got addicted for a bit. They had indoor off-road races with ramps and regular car races when there were enough that showed up. It was definitly fun and miss it. Track closed for various reasons, one they lost alot of customers due to leaks from the ceiling that were never fixed and ruined track events. Its a fun fast addictive hobby and that was just electric. Ive always wanted to get back into it and custome spray bodies or something.

I have an item for-sale in my signature.. check it out, Ill take $400 via paypal and it will be shipped to your door.
I can even set up a ebay transaction if you feel sketch for some reason..
it only has one problem right now: the transmission stripps out the idler gear, I have epoxied the transmission case many times..... the bushings keep melting the epoxy and stripping out the idler gear. can be repaired, but I was too lazy to buy a metal transmission case to fix the problem.
if u part it out, you will more then get your $$$'s worth......
lots of compression on the motor... barely run for under 1.5 hours.

RC10L with Composite Craft LTO Chassis, home made rear sway bar.
1/10th Carpet Oval rocked until I got priced out. Chris Doseck, Buddy (Bud's) Bartos, Dave Pulfer, his son Mike (now writes for Cincy Enquirer) and quite a few others that I beat on my home track in 1990-1991..........

Oh man, my house is like a hobby shop. We have planes, boats, cars, trains....a ton of stuff. I haven't done much in a long time but i've been racing r/c cars and fiddling with other stuff since i was a kid. I have a Picco RS600 1/8th 4WD w/ a .21 turbo motor tuned for oval racing. We had to limit the throttle opening to 70% so i could race on road courses because it had too much power, haha. I also used to race 1/12th scale electric and 10th scale 235mm. I'd like to get back into it here and there but haven't found the time.

I rocked mine til I sold my car, I had 15's, polsihed them every week so they'd keep the "bling" factor lol. Back in the day they were the shit. I almost put them on the civic when I got it, I'm glad I sold them with the car lol

Damn I told myself that I will make a post on this many times. I just got into it last year. So far, I have a colt .15 with every accesory I can get for it. I also fabbed up a top cad Hpi shocks on it to drop it, works great.
I also have an HPI SAVAGE .25 with the heavy duty dogbones, aftermarket filter, wheelie bar, muffler and exhaust manifold, new Futaba pistol grip control (bad ass)
I can't figure out for the life of me is why my r/c truck will not start. Hot shot is good, glow plug works, and I have two different nitro gas 1 is at 20%nitro and the other is at 30%nitro. And both don't work, I had it tuned and worked like 3 weeks ago.
Also, I think my rotor start battery 7.2v 1500mah is not holding a charge. How do you check it?
The car, I am not sure how to figure out how am I going to get parts for it since it's a British company.

get rid of that 1500 mah battery and get a 3300 they are cheap at $30 and last allot longer charge it at a lower amp rate too that will help

Heyyy
I've been a R/C mechanic for 3 years at my local Hobby SHop. It was my part time job while I was studying at college. Quitted it on July 2005.
I collect no car but currenty I have 4 cars, 2 very mine and 2 temporary cars that I bought in pieces for a custom rebuild and future sale.
I own a Team Losi XXX-NT with a .12 OS CV with higher heatsink, slide carb. 10A, and a heatsinked backplate.
For the track I have an old fashion HPI Racer 2 with JR 2 XRi control, a .12MT Mugen-Novarossi engine (1.2HP), 2 gear tranny(DUH) Mugen-seiki header, Novarossi tune pipe. Custom Ofna Adjustable shocks, thicked 4mm chassis and customized stock diffs and tricked belts.
It is so fun when I raced so many times with richy guys showing up with mugens, trinitys and serpent cars and beaten up buy a DISCONTINUED HPI racer 2. Those were good times.
Currently I have 3 stuck projects (lack of time) 1 HPI RTR with a modded .15 velocity from duratrax (came from DTX a street force) and I modded the crackshaft feeding source, crazy ported the sleeve with a massive traxxas sleeve design. Fired once and the bit** has too much torque for the poor duratrax it was in as he pulled out and broke the gear spurs (brand new and pitch aligned!) So better in a HPI with custom robinson racing spurs (HArdened Teflon).
3rd project is a 190mm body on a 200mm car and it's a 92-95 civic hatchback body found and bought from a guy in australia! I can post pics (it's painted but not finished yet
I love to paint bodies. If any of you need help or trouble shoot with your cars PM me freely! I've seen a lot of weird things yours won't scare me :)

yeah, I was in Pigeon Forge at The old NASCAR place, when they had a inddor carpet track. You could rent a POS and lap until the battery died.......
10 Laps to get used a controller, hadn't held one in 10 years, and the POS was drafting the track record holder :)
Junk and chunked tires, no Paragon on them, just tossed on the track.......
The I saw the $$$ in my brain.
It literally costs as much to carpet oval race as it does to autox.
I gave up BOTH!
Now if I ever find out where the oval track it (was sectioned and put into a barn) I would buy it.

Can't say I ever noticed a problem with it wandering. My problem with it was it seemed so fragile compared to most others, the slightest impact with anything would almost surely break something...tie rods, a-arm, body posts...
My friend had a Tamiya NSX that you could literally drive it down a flight of stairs and nothing would be broken...heh.
