Like the 12volt source? Or the place that it takes the readings?
The 12volt will be from your ignition, since you do not want them on even when the car is off. As for the back lighting, you want that hooked up to you 12v dimmer switch, so when you turn on your head lights, your back light turns on too.
Now for actual wire install for signals, go to the gauge company website and download the PDF

i put them on my parking lights but i thinks thats what Synth meant.
What kind of gauges are they? I know AutoMeter has the installation instructions on their website...

Oil pressure gauge goes into the back of your block above your oil filter, there will be a wire with a sender unit screwed into the block. You need some fittings to Y off from that.
Volt gauge wires to the battery...

the easiest way to do this is unplug both harnesses from the gauge cluster make sure that the ground and 12v source are hook temp then take the lead wire from the gauge and plug it into the pins of the harness individually untill you get a reading then splice into that wire and you don;t have to worry about running shit through the fire wall and to the motor. ALSO another trick to set multi 12v sources for guages is go to a audio store and buy like a gold block it also you to hook up mutiple wires to it/ You can can leave that piece under you dash and run one main 12 gauge wire or so to the battery so you never have to pop your hood or hook it up to other shit ALSO to further this add a cut off switch and you could shut power on and off to that block
