Make Your Own Civic Type R

Okay, so basically from reading Prakash's thread, ""Pics of new civic type R" (http://www.d-series.org/forums/showthread.php?t=37884) I came to the conclusion that not many of us were diggin the new body style. Well here's your chance to play concept artist. Take any picture of the Civic Type R Concept Car, put it in an image editor, and go at it.

Honestly, I do like the new Civic Type R Concept Car, but there were a few things I wanted to change as well.

As you can see, I got rid of both the front and back lips, and completely reshaped the hatch. Keep in mind, that I'm no photoshop god, and only used the smudge tool, but I think I made some progress.

Here's to hoping that the Concept Artists at Honda are as creative as your average 16 year old.

I know, I just think the new concept is horrible. Not matter how much you did to it, it would still be like polishing a turd imo.

all the newer cars are way too bulky IMO, they all look huge compared to the older Hondas. but that's the way it goes i guess, people want more space and car companies have to meet all kinds of NVH and crash safety, so cars keep growing little by little. the new concept would look a little better if the rear spoiler was at the top of the hatch.

while i agree, it would look weird. they'd have to extend the roof a little bit and make it a little less ford focusy.

the new concept would look alot better if they didn't change it so dramatically...it looks too much like a mazda 3 series....i'd say go with a style closer to the ep3.

The concept that Honda is campaigning has the same exact engine as the new Si. I like hatches in all but I would rather have the coupe personally. If they made a Type-R coupe or even an Si-R model with a better susp. then the Si. That would be hot! I give you an A- for effort though with the "concept".

Not much, but i ran with the spoiler idea, and dropped it. You mess around too much more and you end up with a civ hatch.

update: Still workin' when I have time... I work to many hours yuck!!! To tell you the honest truth to do what I really want to it I may just end up goin' all Chip Foose on this project and draw it up by hand... That new Type R needs some pretty heavy tweakin'... =)
