So i may be lazy but ive searched the threads and nothins coming up...so what exactly is the difference and compatability with the D15b2 Engines compared to the D16a6 and D16z6 motors? I ran into this cause i have an high comp. pistons (JE) .020 over for the z6 block and a z6 head (with all the goods). Im goin to build a motor but ive got a perfectly good a6 motor in my car that runs well. Got a d15b2 block out back and a z6 head. So what im thinking is building the b2 block with the z6 head, but is it worth it to put it in the b2 block instead of the a6? Or will it even work to put the z6 pistons in the b2 block.

Maybe it would be better to just list the differences in the blocks ie: stroke, bore, compression, rod length, etc....

I do understand that the b2 rods are weak, so changing the rods to stronger rods are do-able. Main thing im worried about is stroke...Id like to build the best motor setup out of what i have.

Lose the D15 and keep it simple. A6 block, JE pistons, Z6 head.

Aight, but i did notice something, i looked up the specs on the d15 and it has a smaller stroke. Theoretically a smaller stroke can help bring about more power like how yamaha did on the r1 motorcycle. but yea id rather just find another a6 or z6 block instead of have that mess
