Hello D-series soldiers!
My name is Mike, I'm 29, engaged, homeowner, network engineer in Louisville KY. I've got a 2000 Civic DX Hatchback and big plans for a rowdy daily driver / autocross car.
Anywho... I've been trolling Honda message boards like this one, reading Honda books and buying parts off Ebay for about 6 months now and am finally ready to start doing some work. Got the garage, tools, parts, time, money and desire! Now all I'm lacking is experience... 8 )
I've done simple car maintainence in the past, most complicated thing was probably replacing drum brakes on my s10 blazer. But I've done alternators, starters, belts, fuel filter, oil changes... little stuff but nothing majorly major with the engine.
Ok so the first two major projects for my EK are:
Rear drum to disk swap
Mini-me Y8 head swap
I'm gonna try and take some pics as I do these and put some DIY writeups on this site. Thanks in advance to all the great members on this board. I'll most likely need some help from you guys when I actually start wrenching, especially when it comes to the electrical/computer stuff...
Thanks,
Mike
