Hey guys,

Well, i am a noob so it's ok :). Before i start working on my motor um.... well what motor do it have? i hear d16a7, d16 somthing somthing.... lol i have a 99 civic dx...... i know its a d16 somthing... if ya could tell me or tell me where to look it would be appreciated thanks!

it should be stamped on the block to the left of your exhaust manifold

unless its been swapped before...it should be a d16y7

If you're looking directly at your engine it's to the left of the exhaust manifold. Look about half way down the block and you'll see a plate with numbers on it. It'll say right there D16XXX. To get an idea you'd have to reach in your engine bay up to your elbow to touch it. Often times you'll have to wipe down the area or use some degreaser on it or the number could be completely hidden by road goo.
