I figured that I'd make my first post and break the tension. I'm from San Jose, I've owned three d-series equipped cars, a 1987 CRX si, a 1991 Crx Dx... R.I.P, and I'm currently driving a 90 Si Hatch. Other cars owned include a 1989 Cadillac Sedan Deville and a 1996 Integra GSR sedan that I sold to pay off student loans. I'm not into street racing, I understand that my car might be making 85hp at the wheels on a good day... I also understand that I get 30mpg... so no worries there. I'm a big fan of my little hatch and I'd kill to get back into a crx, so if anyone is looking for a straight trade for a crx si... So far all I've got on the car is a K&N FIPK and a crappy stainless catback I bought off eBay to replace my rusted out stock system. I'm going to need to rebuild either the head or the whole engine soon. It's using a fair amount of oil and I can't tell if it's the valve guides or the rings... or both. If there's anyone who's local that would be willing to help I'd be glad to buy a six pack when the weather gets nicer and try to take care of it. Peace.

Whats up. Just wanted to know what D series you had in your 87 CRX Si? My brother and I currently own one and want do a swap. Problem is I can only find stuff for a B series swap. I think that a turbo'd D16Z6 or D16Y8 would kick ass in the Rex!

Thanks for the note on your site EJ1 Freak, I'll check it out for sure. Do you know of any non-silly-street-racer car clubs around here?

you're looking for professional and mature people in a race club in the bay area? Good luck, almost everyone out here is under 18, in high school, and race their N/A hondas equipped with some badasss intake like it's the fastest shit out there. But welcome to the Bay Honda game...Ej1 freak and i are both out here, along with a bunch of my turbo buddies. Hit us up sometime.

haha, ok so this is an old thread. I flipped the rex coming around a corner a little too quickly. It was a private road on campus at William Jessup University, there was some construction going on. I was going a little too fast (sooo dumb) and a 30ft long forklift came off of the dirt and onto the road. I swerved (also dumb) jammed the brakes (I'm such an idiot) and hung my front end in a ditch. It was the ditch that flipped me. My roommate and I walked away fine and I sold the car to HAP in Rancho Cordova. I'm working on a '90 Civic Si at the moment, I dig it. I'm going to stop posting in the noob forums... we can let this thread die.
