i want to put the a6 head back on my motor its orignially an Si i found a head but its for an automatic the dude saiid that the automatic heads actualy have a bigger camshaft lobe?? he said i could get a gain i wanna go back to Si cause i dont have cash for the obd1 harness and all that good stuff he also said he would trade me straight up for my y8 head is this a deal???:TU: :TD: thanx for any help!!!

No dont do it he is full of shit.. You also dont need obd1 harness to run y8 head on A6 block.. Search for Mini me and it will tell you what you need to do..

i know for B-Series automatics have WAY worse camshaft lobes (as in , not nearly as aggressive.) don't do it
edit: Y8 block is as good, but, Y8 heads are pented which is also better. keep the y8

keep the y8. for vtec: the best heads you'll find are the z6 or y8 heads. for non-vtec: imo, a6 is the way to go.


but either way, that guy is trying to rip you off. tell him to take a huge zucchini, and shove it so far up his ass that he's shitting out vegetable for a week.
