Both good devices with Bosch LSU4 support.
Also check out, http://www.InnovateMotorsports.com which also sells a WB unit compatible witht he LSU4 with datalogging. About the same price as the PLX, but has programmable outputs.
Figure out what you need, each unit offers it's own unique features.

As for cost, ya, I was trying to mention the lower price "DIY" style kits.
..but, yes, there are "more expensive" kits out there. Accuracy is the same. Using the exact same sensors, L1H1 and LSU4..
Honestly, however, the "best" kit I have used out of the ones mentioned is the FJO. Lots of features, very fast reation times. Datalogs everything, and compatible with most major commercial tuning applications... but then again youre base price is $800. ;)

So then is it worth it buying the other one you mentioned above? 300 or so is reasonable, you know?

Ya... The Innovate unit is very popular right now. If you don't have any plans for developing software, or want to save money and solder together your TechEdge (180+ solder points) the Innovate unit is for you.
The PLX is designed as a "base" unit for people who develop software, and use software that has the ECU handling datalogging, ADC, and calculation of the A/F, like Hondata and TurboEDIT (:)). However, it does come with a big bright LED display, and a fast processor, 0-1v narrowband and 0-5v wide band.

I'll have to look into it. AEM hasn't had the reputation of being "cost effective" in the past. ;)
